Taariq Roberts, 33, is in hot water with police in Hagerstown as he continues to find himself being busted for drug offenses across the region, officials said.

Roberts was arrested in Hagerstown on Thursday, Aug. 1 for the sale/manufacturing of Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) distribution, possession of crack cocaine, paraphernalia, and resisting arrest after a foot chase, according to police.

Three days later, he was busted on new charges on CDS-related charges after throwing a bag of undisclosed drugs onto a rooftop during a separate foot chase with officers.

Investigators noted that Roberts’ criminal history has spanned nearly a full year with these other arrests reported:

  • In January 2022, Roberts was charged with distribution and possession of cocaine; large amount, and obstructing and hindering;
  • in March 2022, he was arrested on a fugitive warrant and was transported to Rikers Island Prison in New York. When he was released, he returned to Hagerstown.

Officials did not announce a return court date for Roberts.
